Inspired by Alan Yee's "Fuzzy Nuts" design, the Golden Fleece Fuzz takes a minimalist approach: single transistor with hand-selected clipping diodes—a special NOS germanium paired with silicon for distinctive voice. The result blends fuzz, distortion, and overdrive characteristics in one simple package.

A single "More" control regulates output level. That's it. The pedal is designed to respond to your guitar's volume and tone controls rather than internal tweaking. Roll your guitar volume back and it cleans up better than almost any other fuzz, maintaining clarity and touch sensitivity across the full range.

Compact enclosure (3.65" × 1.53" × 1.07") with true bypass switching draws approximately 10mA. Important: The circuit is sensitive to buffered effects, tuners, power supply quality, and cable selection. Best used without buffers in the signal path. When conditions are right, it's remarkably dynamic and responsive—a player's fuzz that rewards technique.
