MT-11
Refined Ibanez Mostortion revival—despite the name, a classic MOS-OpAmp overdrive with 3-band EQ.
Kai Tachibana revives the cult Ibanez Mostortion MT-10 as the MT-11 Mosland, correcting one of pedal history's great naming mistakes: the "Mostortion" was always an overdrive circuit, not a distortion. Built in Hamburg since 2022, this handmade recreation uses the same MOS-OpAmp chip topology as the 1980s original.
The MT-11 features full 3-band active EQ (bass, mid, treble with center detents), plus the O.D.C. (Overdrive De-Compress) mini-knob that opens up the sound and reduces compression. Running at 9-18V with an internal voltage limiter protecting the vintage chip, different supply voltages yield different tonal characteristics. True bypass operation with adjustable LED brightness.
With nearly 500 rare chips acquired, Tachibana can build several hundred units before this circuit disappears again. The MT-11 excels at both low-gain edge-of-breakup and higher-gain lead tones, all with that distinct MOS-OpAmp character missing from modern overdrives.
