Jet Phaser
Roland AP-7 Jet Phaser recreation with 8 matched JFETs, independent fuzz, and tone control.
The PastFX JFet Fuzz Phaser is a faithful reproduction of the 1970s Roland AP-7 Jet Phaser, combining phaser and fuzz circuits in one unit. It uses 8 hand-matched JFET transistors and operates on the same bipolar voltages as the original from a standard 9VDC supply.
Controls include Jet Level (fuzz volume), a Tone knob (frequency shaping absent from the original's fixed 2-position design), Resonance (feedback intensity), and Slow (phase speed adjustment when Slow toggle is selected). A Fast/Slow toggle switch ramps between speeds. A Phase Depth toggle selects Low/Deep phasing or Phase Off (allowing the fuzz to operate independently from the phase circuit). The Flip Switch Mod pushbutton at the base swaps the Jet footswitch function between fuzz on/off and Fast/Slow control.
Dual LED indicators: red for fuzz activation, green for phase-only effect. True bypass, 120 x 94 x 50mm (1590BB) enclosure drawing approximately 15mA at 9VDC center-negative. Handmade in Brisbane, Australia.
