Analog Delay AD-08
1980s Japanese BBD delay with MN3102 chip. Up to 400ms delay time with separate dry and wet level controls.
Pearl's Sound Spice series AD-08 was manufactured by KLM in Japan during the 1980s, representing the golden era of Japanese effects.
Built around the MN3102 bucket brigade device and MN3205 clock driver, it delivers warm analog delay up to 400ms - notably long for its era. Unlike many vintage delays, it features separate Dry Out Level and Delay Out Level controls for precise wet/dry mixing.
Dual outputs enable stereo dry/wet operation. Delay Time and Feedback controls round out the feature set. Capable of subtle echo, reverb-like ambience, slapback, doubling, and full delay effects.
Vintage Japanese construction. The repeats degrade with character rather than digital clarity - if you want pristine echoes, look elsewhere.
