Noa
Transparent low-gain overdrive with 30-300Hz lowcut control. Handmade in Japan by nanase.
Petla is a one-person Japanese operation run by builder nanase, producing small-batch handmade pedals. The Noa is their transparent overdrive, designed to keep your core guitar tone intact while adding just enough gain and harmonic content to push things forward. The name follows the builder's minimalist aesthetic.
Four controls shape the sound. Volume and Gain handle the basics, Tone adjusts the high-frequency character, and the standout Lowcut control sweeps a high-pass filter from 30Hz to 300Hz, letting you trim exactly how much low end enters the drive circuit. That wide lowcut range makes it adaptable to humbuckers, single coils, and different amp voicings without getting muddy.
True bypass, 9V center-negative DC (no battery option). The transparent, low-gain character makes it work well as an always-on tone enhancer or a stacking drive that doesn't color what comes after it.
