Pickup Booster

The Pickup Booster is a clean boost that can also simulate the resonant peak of different pickup types. A single coil can take on the character of vintage or modern humbuckers with the flip of a switch.

The gain knob spans 6-25dB of pure boost through a discrete Class A low-noise circuit. Even at 0dB, it cleans up your signal chain like a high-quality buffer. Push-pull output stage provides increased drive capability.

Three resonance settings: position 0 for transparent boost, position 1 to thicken single coils, position 2 to give single coils humbucker fatness. Must be first in chain with passive pickups for resonance to work.

Runs on 9-18V for extra headroom. True bypass. First released 2004, resurrected 2015 with improved circuit. Made in Santa Barbara.
