The Stages is a dynamic overdrive from Shift Line, marketed as a multi-stage overdrive rather than a preamp.

Controls: Gain, Bass (+/-13dB bell at 80Hz), Middle (600-800Hz bell), Treble (+/-11dB shelf at 10kHz), Level (output volume). STG switch (3-position: selects number of active gain stages for clean boost to thick overdrive). HPF switch (3-position: high-pass filter frequency).

Fully analog signal path with internal +/-18V rails (studio-level headroom from 9V input). Wide gain range from transparent clean boost to saturated overdrive. True bypass. Top-mounted jacks. 9-12V DC, 180mA. 108x68x55mm, 310g.
