Dumbloid Twin SP/ODS
Premium dual-channel Dumble emulator combining Dumbloid Special and ODS circuits with independent controls, offering ultimate versatility from clean rhythm to saturated lead tones.
The Shins Music Dumbloid Twin SP/ODS represents pinnacle of Shin Suzuki's Dumble-inspired pedal designs, combining two of his most celebrated circuits—Dumbloid Special and Dumbloid ODS—into single, high-end dual-channel unit built for serious tone chasers seeking complete Dumble amplifier experience. This pedal offers total independence between channels, allowing guitarists to set up two entirely different Dumble-style voices that can be selected via footswitch or used independently. Channel 1 houses Dumbloid Special circuit, which provides standard Dumbloid voicing with more midrange focus and slightly tighter character, ideal for clean tones and rhythm work. Channel 2 contains Dumbloid ODS circuit, offering slightly wetter, higher-gain Modern ODS sound with more bottom end and openness, perfect for lead tones that cut through mix.
Each channel features its complete set of independent controls: Drive, Accent, Tone, Volume, and Jazz/Rock switch. This means you can configure one channel for clean boost or mild breakup while setting other for full singing lead tones, or any combination in between. Dual footswitches allow seamless switching: right DRV footswitch turns pedal on and off, while left footswitch toggles between channels. This setup replicates functionality of Dumble's two-channel amplifiers, giving players access to both clean brilliance and overdrive magic that made those amps legendary.
Accent control on each channel independently adjusts touch sensitivity and dynamics, allowing fine-tuning of how each channel responds to your guitar's output and playing technique. Jazz/Rock switches on both channels provide additional tonal versatility—Jazz mode offers flatter frequency response perfect for smooth, articulate playing, while Rock mode delivers enhanced dynamics, deeper bass, and more aggressive midrange punch. Optional versions include Shin's Velvet Boost, independent low-gain germanium boost that adds even more versatility and gain-stacking possibilities. Like all Shins Music pedals, each unit is point-to-point handwired in Tokyo with meticulously selected components, resulting in wait times of 3+ months between production batches.
