The SM Fuzz is boutique fuzz pedal designed by British guitarist Scott McKeon, built in UK with meticulous attention to vintage tone and modern reliability. At its heart are carefully selected and hand-biased AC128 germanium transistors, same component type that powered classic fuzz pedals of 1960s. Circuit features internal bias control that allows fine-tuning of transistor operating point, ensuring consistent performance across temperature variations. Pedal runs on positive ground topology, which requires isolated power supplies but contributes to its authentic vintage character. Each pedal comes hand-wired in presentation box signed by builder, complete with custom plectrums.
