The Beta-V represents the current evolution of SolidGoldFX's Ampeg-inspired bass preamp line. The reworked Drive circuit handles lower gain settings better and accommodates hotter bass pickups.
Active 2-band post-gain EQ boosts or cuts highs and lows with flat center detent. The low-pass filter toggle offers mid bump, mid scoop, or transparent bypass. Drive ranges from clean warmth through fat overdrive while preserving low-end authority.
The circuit captures Ampeg B-series thump and break-up from vintage round tones to modern aggressive grit. Accepts 9-18V DC for adjustable headroom. Soft-touch true bypass, top-mounted jacks, hand-made in Montreal.
