Echobox
Digital delay with analog-style voicing. Multiple algorithms from clean digital to warm, degrading repeats.
Original version of the digital modulated delay with companderless design and 10th-order filter for noise reduction. The companderless architecture avoids clicking and popping artifacts while the filter retains musical quality on extended repeats.
Delay (40-666ms), Regen (near-infinite at 3 o'clock, oscillation beyond), Level, Depth (modulation off at minimum to extreme pitch), Speed (chorus-like left, vibrato right), and Natural Decay mode toggle for trails vs true bypass.
Hitting strings harder produces subtle pleasing distortion on the repeats—an intentional design feature. The 10th-order filter and companderless design were key engineering choices for natural, musical decay. Discontinued 2012, replaced by Echobox V2 with smaller enclosure and lower noise floor.
