Thornicus
Ian Thornley signature dual-channel fuzz with independent Fuzz and Octave sides, MIDI compatible.
The Thornicus is a dual-channel signature fuzz pedal developed in collaboration with Big Wreck frontman Ian Thornley. It features two distinct fuzz circuits: a standard Fuzz side delivering thick, saturated sustain with warm breakup, and an Octave side that stacks an octave circuit in front of the main fuzz for harmonically complex, searing lead tones.
Each channel has wholly independent controls including Sustain, Mids, Level, and Tone knobs with dedicated footswitches. The passive Tone control brightens and tightens clockwise, or warms and thickens counter-clockwise. The Mids knob provides a mid-scooped grungier tone or restores midrange presence for fuller articulation.
The Thornicus includes MIDI compatibility for storing and recalling bypass states. Assembled in the USA, it uses the same larger enclosure format as the Suhr Discovery Analog Delay.
