The Gladys V2 is refined low to mid-gain overdrive pedal drawing inspiration from legendary Bluesbreaker circuit topology while adding modern enhancements for contemporary players. V2 revision brings increased headroom, more available gain, 2-band active EQ section, and silent switching to this already-versatile platform. Hand-built in Syracuse, NY by working musicians, features four intuitive controls: Volume, Drive, Treble, and Bass, paired with toggle switch that unlocks two distinct tonal profiles.
In up position, toggle engages hard-clipping boost/drive mode reminiscent of classic breaker circuits, providing low headroom and subtle, warm drive perfect for blues, country, and classic rock applications. This mode delivers coveted vintage breakup character with musical compression and harmonic complexity. When flipped to down position, Gladys V2 transforms into more modern-sounding overdrive, delivering increased volume, higher headroom, and sharper, more defined edge ideal for contemporary rock and aggressive playing styles.
Active 2-band EQ section provides powerful tone-shaping capabilities beyond typical passive tone controls. Treble and Bass controls offer cut and boost functionality, allowing players to dial in everything from dark, smooth lead tones to bright, cutting rhythm sounds. True bypass switching preserves natural tone when disengaged, while silent switching eliminates loud popping common in older designs.
