The Gus-Plus takes proven Gus-Drive circuit and reimagines it for bass guitar and other instruments that need to retain low-frequency clarity and definition. While equally usable on standard guitar, Gus-Plus's defining feature is added Blend knob, which allows seamless mixing between clean, unaffected signal and overdriven tone. This parallel blending approach ensures fundamental frequencies and note articulation remain intact even when dialing in significant amounts of drive.
Control layout features Volume, Gain (inherited from Gus-Drive's "Bark" and "Howl" controls), and crucial Blend knob. With Blend turned all the way down, Gus-Plus functions identically to standard Gus-Drive, offering full range of overdriven tones from subtle saturation to aggressive distortion. As you introduce Blend control, you can add back clean signal, creating thick, layered sound that maintains punch and clarity while benefiting from harmonic richness and sustain of overdriven circuit.
