Snow Day Delay
Dual PT2399 delay with two switchable presets. Blizzard Mode runs both chips simultaneously in parallel.
The Snow Day Delay features two independent PT2399 delay chips that can be switched between or run simultaneously, offering up to approximately 600ms of delay time per setting in standard mode. Control layout includes Mix (controlling volume of repeats), Repeat (controlling feedback/regeneration), and two separate Delay time knobs (Delay 1 and Delay 2) corresponding to each PT2399 chip. Footswitch allows toggling between two delay settings, indicated by blue and yellow lights, while Blizzard Mode toggle switch enables both delays to run simultaneously for complex rhythmic patterns.
In standard mode (Blizzard switch down), Snow Day functions as two completely independent delay pedals in one enclosure. You can configure each delay setting with its own time, then switch between them via footswitch. This is perfect for having short slapback delay for rhythm work and longer delay for solos, or switching between dotted eighth and quarter note delays for different song sections. Ability to save two presets and switch between them makes Snow Day incredibly versatile for live performance without requiring MIDI control or digital presets.
Blizzard Mode (toggle switch up) is where Snow Day truly distinguishes itself. In this mode, both PT2399 chips run simultaneously, creating complex layered delay patterns. Mode has two distinct behaviors indicated by colored lights. With yellow light active, both delay chips run at approximately same delay time controlled by Delay 2 knob, creating interesting saturation and coloration. With blue light active, both delays run in parallel at independent times, creating unique polyrhythmic delay patterns and complex textures impossible to achieve with single-chip delays. Hand-built in Syracuse, NY with top-mounted jacks, runs on 9-volt negative center power supplies, features true bypass switching. Priced at $179.99, backed by lifetime warranty.
