The Dane

Original version of the Danish Pete Honore signature dual overdrive and boost in the larger 100mm wide enclosure. Boost runs into the drive side yielding three tonal variations: clean boost alone, overdrive alone, or both combined for cascading gain.

Drive side: Gain, Tone, Lows, and Volume. Boost side: Boost level control. Two independent footswitches. Built with Burr-Brown op-amp, 1% metal film resistors, WIMA and Panasonic capacitors, and through-hole gold-plated PCBs. Does not have the HC/DP clipping switch that the MkII later added.

Designed for dynamic players who adjust gain via picking and volume knob. Light to medium gain overdrive that cleans up responsively. The initial 200-unit purple run sold out overnight. 34mA current draw, 100mm x 125mm x 53mm, 9V DC.
