Le Crunch
Dual-channel tube preamp with 200V, British crunch tones, Fusion modes, DI/MIDI—Torpedo cab sim, Wall of Sound III.
The Le Crunch recreates classic British stack amplifier tones that defined rock and roll from late 1960s onward, combining dual independent tube preamp channels running at 200 volts internally with Fusion mode blending and comprehensive connectivity. Channel A delivers lower-gain tube stage with pre-gain EQ (Bass/Treble) using vintage design approach for touch-sensitive crunch, Channel B offers increased gain with powerful post-EQ including Bass, sweepable Mid, and Treble for lead saturation. Both channels completely independent with distinct voicing and EQ sections addressing scenarios where rhythm crunch and lead distortion require instant access without amp channel switching.
Fusion modes expand beyond standard channel switching: Cold Fusion runs channels in parallel blending cleaner A with distorted B for complex harmonic textures, Hot Fusion cascades channels using A as boost for B creating extreme saturation with both EQ sections active for comprehensive frequency sculpting. Integrated analog speaker simulation specifically voiced for Le Crunch based on Two Notes Torpedo simulator technology affects DI and headphone outputs. Thru jack sends unaffected signal to stage amplifier, 1/8" headphone output enables silent practice maintaining full preamp character, effects loop allows inserting modulation or delay after preamp distortion, cabinet simulation and DI output eliminate microphone and cabinet requirements for recording or live PA connection, MIDI in/out enables preset management via external controllers.
Includes free download of Two Notes Wall of Sound III speaker simulation software. True bypass when disengaged. Note: discontinued by manufacturer according to several retailers. The Le Crunch targets players seeking British Marshall-style crunch and lead tones with professional routing flexibility, suitable for classic rock, hard rock, and blues where Marshall stack character drives the musical aggression but modern DI capability and compact format enhance practical workflow without requiring vintage amplifiers or heavy speaker cabinets.
