Radio Dirtman

A versatile fuzz/drive based on the Dirt Transmitter circuit, redesigned with an expanded Tone control covering a wider frequency range with increased low-end capability while preserving the original midrange character.

Built with carefully selected NOS 2N1711 metal can matched transistors, silver mica capacitors, 5% poly film caps in the tone section, and Nichicon electrolytics. The Bias control starves the circuit at lower settings to create sputtery, velcro fuzz textures.

At heart an overdrive circuit that transforms into gated or wooly fuzz depending on the Bias setting. Nails the heavy, broken-speaker velcro sound. Handmade near Philadelphia, PA.
