Oz
Oz Noy's silicon Fuzz Face variant - limited to 300 units, based on Shanks 4K.
The Oz is a signature pedal for fusion guitarist Oz Noy, based on Vemuram's Shanks 4K circuit but with modifications specific to Noy's tonal needs. Limited to just 300 handmade units in Japan, it has become a sought-after collector's item.
The circuit uses a silicon Fuzz Face topology with two vintage silicon transistors and various high-quality N.O.S. (New Old Stock) components. Unlike germanium fuzzes, the silicon design provides more consistency and output while still delivering classic Fuzz Face character.
Controls include Volume, Fuzz, Bass, and Treble for comprehensive tone shaping. Fuzz Color and Bias trim pots are accessible via the rear edge for fine-tuning the fuzz character and transistor bias. Runs on 9V power supply or battery. The limited production run and artist association make these increasingly rare.
