Lander
Silicon-based Fuzz Face recreating 1968 germanium NKT275 tone. Pregain knob cuts gain as you turn up.
The Virtues Lander is a fuzz pedal designed to recreate vintage germanium Fuzz Face tones, specifically the 1968 Dallas Arbiter-era with NKT275 germanium transistors. Uniquely, the Lander achieves this using silicon transistors, reproducing the effect of germanium on circuit components and their operational differences.
The pedal features three controls: Volume, Pregain, and Fuzz (Gain). The Pregain knob functions inversely—cutting gain as it's turned up—a characteristic control layout. True bypass switching ensures your signal remains clean when the pedal is off.
Made in Japan and compact at 61×112×46mm, the Lander runs on 9V DC center negative power. It captures the raspy, dynamic character of vintage Fuzz Faces while avoiding the temperature sensitivity and inconsistency of actual germanium transistors.
