Ice 9

The Ice 9 is Joe Satriani's fourth signature pedal with Vox, named after his song from Surfing with the Alien. This multi-function overdrive features dual voicing, comprehensive EQ, and the More boost from the Satchurator.

Vintage mode pairs a special op-amp with premium diodes for warm, rich tone. Modern mode uses a germanium diode for cutting-edge aggressive overdrive. Pre-drive Bass control adds bottom end, while post-drive Tone shapes the final character.

The More switch adds 14dB boost when needed. Housed in a pearl-white enclosure with royal-blue knobs, the Ice 9 straddles classic Tube Screamer territory in Vintage mode but with more strident attack and fuzzier edge in Modern.
