JFET

The JFET is 29 Pedals' tribute to the transistor beloved in audio circles for its vacuum tube-like characteristics. Rather than a simple boost, it's a carefully biased JFET stage with just enough THD to sound tube-y while remaining clean by most standards.

Three boost modes via toggle switch offer distinct voicings: Normal mode behaves like a classic treble booster, Full Frequency fills out the spectrum for rounder tones, and Flat mode extends response below 10Hz for incredible weight and solidity without sounding like additive EQ.

The dual-stage IC output driver ensures consistent output impedance regardless of level setting, making JFET equally happy at the front of your chain as an always-on input driver or at the end driving heavy loads.
