Octamizer DLX
Three-footswitch DSP octave with up/down voices, independent stacking, and extended-range bass tracking.
Aguilar has been building bass-specific gear in New York since 1995, and the Octamizer line is their take on octave effects tuned for low-end instruments.
The Octamizer DLX rebuilds the original from the ground up on a new in-house DSP platform. Three independent footswitches control clean, octave-down, and octave-up voices that can be stacked in any combination. The octave-down offers two filter modes: Mode A sweeps from smooth to synth-forward textures, while Mode B delivers vintage octave-divider grit. The dedicated octave-up engine is tuned specifically for bass to avoid the harshness and latency typical of guitar-focused designs.
Controls include Octave Volume, Octave Filter, Clean Level, and Clean EQ for the sub section, plus Volume and Filter for the octave-up voice. Tracking responds directly to playing dynamics and stays stable on extended-range basses.
