Aion FX from Des Moines, IA has helped guitarists build studio-quality effects since 2011. They excel at converting rare, unconventional formats into standard pedal layouts.

The Prism is a pedal conversion of the obscure but highly sought-after Boss FA-1 FET Amplifier (1980-1984). The original was a belt-worn effect powered by a 9V battery with no footswitch or LED. The Prism reformats the same circuitry into a standard guitar pedal with footswitch, LED indicator, and 9V adapter jack.

The Edge of U2 famously used the FA-1, driving vintage unit prices into the stratosphere. The simple JFET circuit provides clean boost with subtle harmonic enhancement. The Aion conversion makes this cult favorite practical for modern pedalboards while maintaining the original circuit's character.
