Altero Custom Guitars is a Japanese company creating pedals with KarDiaN designer Toshikazu Kitada. The KAEDE (楓/maple) was developed with Kida Motifo of math rock band tricot for her live and recording rig.

Kida sought a drive sound based on energetic guitar tone with strong saturation - a saturation drive booster. The 2-band EQ enriches expression for sound shaping. The Hand Wired version uses through-hole parts for stronger lead character.

Regular KAEDE: ¥38,500. Hand Wired: ¥49,500. Altero believes in creating the best tone without cutting the original instrument sound. Japanese craftsmanship from Shiga prefecture.
