Sunbender MkIV
Three-transistor Tone Bender MkIV fuzz. Fatter and more saturated than the MK1.5, with a Tone knob.
The Sunbender MkIV recreates the three-transistor Tone Bender MkIV circuit, delivering fatter, more saturated fuzz than the rawer MK1.5. Standard transistor complement is one 2SB Japanese germanium paired with two Russian spaceship transistors, with optional British Newmarket CV7005/CV7006 upgrades.
Volume and Fuzz knobs are joined by a Tone control unique to the MkIV, sweeping from thick and bassy to thin and trebly. An internal bias trimpot adjusts for temperature or tonal preference. The 1970s Tone Bender sound: heavier, smoother, and more forgiving than earlier variants.
Positive ground (center-positive power, no daisy chains). True bypass. Top jacks only on this model.
