B-Tron III Envelope Filter

The Behringer B-Tron III is a clone of the legendary Musitronics Mu-Tron III, the envelope filter that defined funk guitar and bass in the 1970s. Bootsy Collins, Jerry Garcia, and Stevie Wonder made this effect iconic.

The filter responds to playing dynamics—pick harder for more pronounced wah sweep, play softly for subtle filtering. Drive, Range, and Peak controls shape the filter character, with Hi/Lo and Up/Down switches for additional voicing options.

The larger enclosure houses the same optocoupler-based circuit as the original, delivering that unmistakable liquid, vocal filter sweep.
