The Behringer UM300 Ultra Metal is a clone of the Boss MT-2 Metal Zone, one of the most recognizable high-gain distortion pedals ever made. The MT-2's distinctive scooped mid character defined the sound of countless metal records.

The parametric mid control is the key feature—Mid Freq selects the center frequency while Mid adjusts boost or cut at that point. Combined with High and Low controls, you can dial in everything from the classic scooped thrash tone to more mid-forward modern metal sounds.

Level and Distortion controls round out the feature set. While the MT-2 has its critics, it remains a go-to Budget-friendly high-gain distortion from Behringer.
