The Behringer VM1 Vintage Time Machine is a clone of the Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man, one of the most revered analog delay pedals ever made. The large enclosure houses BBD chips delivering up to 550ms of warm, degrading analog delay.
A toggle switch selects between chorus and vibrato modulation on the delay repeats. Output level, blend, feedback, and delay time controls shape everything from slapback to spacious ambient textures. Dual outputs allow wet/dry signal splitting.
Running at 9V versus the original's 24V gives the VM1 a darker, more lo-fi character with less headroom. Now discontinued, it remains sought after by players wanting Deluxe Memory Man tones without the premium price.
