The Behringer VP1 Vintage Phaser is a near-exact clone of the Electro-Harmonix Small Stone, one of the most iconic phasers from the 1970s. Bands like ELO used it to create that swirling, over-the-top psychedelic sound.
A single Rate knob controls the sweep speed from slow jet-engine whoosh to rapid warble. The Color switch changes the phaser's character—one position gives traditional phase shifting, while the other inverts the phase relationship for a more lush, almost vibrato-like effect.
The all-metal enclosure is larger than typical compact pedals but built like a tank. Users report the sound is virtually indistinguishable from the original Small Stone at a fraction of the cost.
