Shrew
RAT-style op-amp distortion with germanium/LED clipping options and optional noise gate.
BLAMMO! Electronics is run by Dan Adamson, an IPC-certified builder in Portland, Oregon. Before making pedals, he worked in medical, aviation, and defense PCB assemblies.
The Shrew is BLAMMOs take on classic op-amp distortion with expanded clipping options. The Clip knob transitions from symmetrical germanium diodes (D9J and 1N34A) on the left to asymmetrical LED clipping on the right.
The optional noise gate kills hiss and hum inherent to high-gain circuits, with a snappy attack that doesnt cut note tails early. Relay-based true bypass (rated 3x longer than standard 3PDT), soft switching, and top-mounted jacks.
Specs: 31mA current draw, 9V DC center negative, custom PCB, board-mounted pots.
