Bleak District Electric is a boutique pedal company based in Derbyshire, UK, in the Peak District. Founded by Phil, the brand creates original effects with distinctive digital artwork representing the local landscape.

The Tapescape recreates Phil's beloved weathered Watkins Copicat, delivering lo-fi analog-voiced delays with authentic tape character. Delay time reaches 1100ms for atmospheric washes, while shorter times remain crisp and defined.

The Wow control adds slow random pitch modulation simulating worn tape mechanisms. Flutter adds higher-frequency modulation from subtle warble to complete malfunction. A Rise footswitch ramps feedback for interactive self-oscillation.

Expression input controls either delay time or flutter rate. Hand-built in the UK UK-built ambient and experimental effects.
