Chromatic Tuner TU-3
The tuner on every pedalboard - bright LED meter visible in any lighting condition.
Walk into any venue, look at any pedalboard, and odds are you'll see a TU-3. Released in 2010 as the successor to the TU-2, it became the default stage tuner for good reason: it's accurate, visible, and reliable.
Chromatic tuning from C0 to C8 with plus/minus 1 cent accuracy. The 21-segment LED meter uses a high-brightness mode that's visible in direct sunlight, solving the TU-2's biggest complaint. Stream mode shows pitch movement as a flowing display; Cent mode gives precise readout for intonation work.
Buffered bypass maintains signal integrity when the tuner is off, and a power output can daisy-chain up to seven Boss compact pedals from a single adapter. Guitar, Bass, and Flat tuning modes cover standard setups; chromatic mode handles everything else.
At 52mA it's modest on power draw. The TU-3 doesn't do anything exciting, and that's the point. It tunes accurately, displays clearly, and has never let anyone down at a gig. Sometimes the most important pedal on your board is the boring one.
