The FB-2 Feedbacker/Booster provides two functions: a clean boost and a controllable feedback generator. The boost section raises your signal level for solos or amp pushing. The feedback function creates sustained harmonic tones similar to amp feedback but at any volume.
The feedback mode tracks the fundamental note you're playing and generates a feedback tone that sustains as long as you hold the footswitch. Release the switch and the feedback decays naturally. This is an updated version of the concept Boss first explored with the DF-2 in 1984.
Boost and Tone controls for the boost function; the feedback is controlled by footswitch engagement. The dual-function design means it can serve as either a clean boost for pushing your amp, a feedback generator for sustained harmonic tones, or both.
At 36mA, the FB-2 is modest on power. For players who want controllable feedback at stage volumes where natural amp feedback isn't possible, or who simply need a clean boost with an unusual bonus feature.
