GE-6 Graphic Equalizer
6-band graphic equalizer for precise frequency shaping. Sculpts tone with precise frequency control and boost/cut.
The GE-6 Graphic Equalizer provided six-band EQ in the Boss compact format, released in 1978 as one of the earliest compact EQ pedals. Six slider-controlled bands let players sculpt their tone with visual feedback.
Six frequency bands from 100Hz to 3.2kHz with boost/cut per band. The visual representation of the EQ curve (slider positions) makes it easy to see at a glance how the signal is being shaped. A Level slider adjusts overall output to compensate for EQ changes.
Six sliders plus Level. At 7mA it draws minimal power. The frequency range is narrower than the later GE-7's seven bands, but covers the critical guitar frequencies.
Produced from 1978 to 1981 before being replaced by the GE-7. The GE-6 is historically notable as an early compact graphic EQ. Vintage units are modestly collectible, primarily for Boss completists.
