The PS-6 Harmonist is Boss's intelligent pitch shifter, generating harmonies that follow the musical key you specify. Released in 2011, it adds a Super Bend mode for massive pitch sweeps and detune for subtle thickening.
Four modes: Harmony (intelligent key-following harmonies), Pitch Shifter (fixed interval), Detune (subtle pitch offset), and S-Bend (three-octave pitch sweep via expression pedal). The Harmony mode tracks your playing and generates harmonically correct intervals based on the key you select.
Key, Shift, Balance, and Mode controls. At 45mA it's moderate for the DSP. Expression pedal input is essential for the S-Bend mode, which sweeps pitch across a three-octave range.
The PS-6 is the intelligent harmony pedal for players who want to add guitar harmonies without a second guitarist. The S-Bend mode is a bonus: it turns your expression pedal into a massive pitch-bending controller that goes far beyond what a tremolo bar can do.
