The RE-202 is the ultimate Space Echo pedal, going beyond the RE-20 to capture every nuance of the Roland RE-201 tape delay. Released in the twin-pedal format, it models all 12 tape head modes, the spring reverb, and the mechanical behavior of the original's tape transport.
Twelve modes simulate every head combination the RE-201 offered, plus the original's preamp coloring and tape saturation. A Wow & Flutter control lets you dial in the tape instability from subtle warmth to seasick warble. The spring reverb simulation can run independently or alongside the delay. Deep editing accesses parameters the RE-20 didn't touch.
Rate, Intensity, Echo Volume, Bass, Treble, and Wow & Flutter controls plus a 12-position Mode selector. Two footswitches handle bypass and tap tempo. At 140mA it needs a proper power supply. Stereo outputs for spatial applications.
The RE-202 is Boss's most faithful recreation of the RE-201, incorporating everything they learned from the RE-20 and RE-2. For Space Echo obsessives who want the deepest possible tape echo emulation in pedal form.
