RV-3 Digital Reverb/Delay
Combined reverb and delay with multiple modes for comprehensive ambience, from slap-back echoes to ambient soundscapes.
The RV-3 combined digital reverb and delay in a single compact pedal, released in 1994. Having both effects in one pedal was the primary selling point, and the RV-3 delivered both with respectable quality.
Eight modes cover Plate Reverb, Room, Hall, Gate, Delay, and combinations of reverb + delay. The delay section offers up to 2000ms of delay time. Using reverb and delay simultaneously from a single pedal simplified pedalboard routing and saved space.
E.Level, Tone, and D.Time controls. At 63mA it draws moderately. The mode selector cycles through all eight combinations. When a mode includes both reverb and delay, the controls adjust both effects simultaneously.
Produced from 1994 to 2002. The RV-3 was a practical solution for players who needed both reverb and delay but didn't want two pedals. The concept was ahead of its time; modern multi-effects routinely combine ambient effects this way.
