RV-5 Digital Reverb
Advanced reverb with Modulate and Spring simulation modes. Creates lush spatial depth with adjustable decay and tone.
The RV-5 Digital Reverb released in 2002 with five reverb modes including a Modulation Reverb that added subtle pitch modulation to the reverb tail. This modulated reverb mode became the pedal's signature feature.
Five modes: Room, Hall, Plate, Spring, and Modulation. The first four cover standard reverb types. Modulation mode adds a chorus-like movement to the reverb tail, creating a shimmering, evolving ambiance that was relatively uncommon in compact reverb pedals at the time.
E.Level, Tone, and D.Time controls. Simple operation with mode selection via a rotary switch. The Modulation mode in particular influenced a generation of reverb pedals, predating the shimmer reverb trend by several years.
Produced from 2002 to 2015. The RV-5's Modulation mode earned it a cult following among ambient players. It showed that reverb could be more than just room simulation; it could be a creative texture.
