RV-6 Reverb

The RV-6 is Boss's current compact reverb, released in 2015 with eight reverb modes that cover both practical and creative territory. It represents everything Boss learned about reverb algorithms across decades of digital processing.

Eight modes: Room, Hall, Plate, Spring, Modulate, +Delay (reverb with delay), Dynamic, and Shimmer. The Shimmer mode adds octave-shifted reverb trails for ambient and post-rock applications. Dynamic mode adjusts reverb intensity based on playing dynamics, getting quieter when you play loudly and blooming when you play softly.

E.Level, Tone, and Time controls. At 95mA it draws more than earlier Boss reverbs due to the more complex algorithms. Expression pedal input via CTL jack for real-time parameter control.

The RV-6 is the Swiss Army knife reverb: every mode is usable, the Shimmer and Dynamic modes are genuinely creative tools, and the expression pedal support enables performance control that earlier Boss reverbs lacked.
