The SD-1-4A is the 40th anniversary edition of the Super Overdrive, released in 2021 with a special finish to celebrate four decades of the yellow screamer. The circuit is identical to the standard SD-1: same asymmetrical clipping, same mid-hump, same 5mA power draw.

Same Level, Tone, and Drive controls. Same warm, mid-forward overdrive character that's been pushing tube amps since 1981. The anniversary edition is purely cosmetic: different enclosure finish and commemorative markings.

All electrical specifications match the current production SD-1 exactly. No circuit modifications, no component upgrades, no sonic differences. The SD-1's sound hasn't changed because it doesn't need to.
