The SD-1W elevates the workhorse Super Overdrive with Waza Craft components and a Custom mode that adds touch sensitivity the original never had. Standard mode is the familiar SD-1 sound: warm midrange push with asymmetrical clipping.

Custom mode transforms the pedal. The dynamic range opens up dramatically, cleaning up with lighter picking and breaking up with attack in a way that tracks your playing far more closely than the original. The midrange character is still there, but it feels more like a responsive amp channel than a pedal.

Level, Tone, and Drive plus the Standard/Custom toggle. The Tone control has a wider usable range in Custom mode, and the Drive knob becomes more gradual, making it easier to dial in that sweet spot where clean and dirty coexist.

Made in Japan with premium analog components. At 15mA current draw, the SD-1W is as power-efficient as the original. For players who use the SD-1 as an always-on tone shaper or amp boost, the Custom mode's improved dynamics make a real difference.
