VB-2w Vibrato (Waza Craft)
Waza Craft VB-2 ends the hunt - true pitch vibrato with latch mode for set-and-forget.
The VB-2W revives the discontinued VB-2, a true pitch vibrato that was never a big seller in the 80s but became a cult classic after players discovered its unique sound. Standard mode recreates the original's pitch-only modulation. Custom mode adds a latch function and deeper modulation range.
Unlike chorus (which blends wet and dry signals), the VB-2W modulates pitch directly, creating a warbling, seasick quality that sounds like a broken Leslie speaker or a warped record. Rise and Depth controls shape the modulation, while Rate sets the speed from slow drift to fast wobble.
Custom mode's latch function is the key addition: press and hold the footswitch to engage vibrato, release to bypass. This enables momentary vibrato swells that the original pedal couldn't do. The deeper modulation range in Custom mode pushes into more extreme territory.
The original VB-2 (1982-1986) was a commercial underperformer that became a $300+ collector's item. The VB-2W gives that sound back with modern improvements. Made in Japan with Waza Craft components.
