The Caroline Guitar Company Wave Cannon Zero represents the third generation of their flagship distortion, combining elements from early prototypes with decades of refinement. It offers shattering saturation and destroyed tones.
Controls include Volume, Gain, Shape, Volts (starve), Tone, and Havoc percentage. The Volts control starves the circuit for gated, dying-battery textures. The Shape control provides broad tone sculpting beyond simple EQ.
Despite its potential for sheer destruction, the Zero responds expressively to playing dynamics, rewarding touch sensitivity with subtle distortion variations. The refined Havoc circuit adds controlled feedback oscillation. Priced at $249, hand-built in Columbia, SC.
