Cascade Pedals, based in Fairview, North Carolina, specializes in faithful recreations of classic fuzz circuits. The Axis Fuzz is their clone of the Roger Mayer Axis Fuzz, designed for Jimi Hendrix in 1967 and used on Axis Bold as Love.

Built to original specifications with carbon comp resistors and quality capacitors, the Axis Fuzz adds modern conveniences: less input filtering for better pedal chain compatibility, top-mounted jacks, standard 9V DC power, and a power protection circuit.
