Giygas 2K

The Catalinbread Giygas 2K strips the original Giygas down to two knobs and a smaller enclosure. Named for EarthBound's final boss, the circuit is a heavily modified Big Muff that removes the traditional tone stack entirely. The original Giygas added gain through cascading EQ stages; the 2K redistributes that extra gain more evenly between the boost circuit and clipping stages.

Loud controls volume from quiet to riot. Fuzz controls gain from gritty warmth to thick woolen saturation. No tone knob, no options, no mercy. The circuit cleans up well with your guitar's volume knob, going from full wall-of-fuzz to crunchy overdrive at the twist of a wrist.
