Knight School Fuzz
Bias-destabilized fuzz that oscillates on power-up—three knobs of controlled sonic chaos.
The Catalinbread Knight School Fuzz is part of the affordable Knight School series. The Bias control destabilizes the circuit, pushing it toward oscillation and chaotic textures. When Bias is maxed at power-on, the pedal self-oscillates before settling—a feature, not a bug. Volume sets output level and Gain separates the guitar signal from the circuit, functioning similarly to a second volume control.
The circuit responds dynamically to your guitar's volume knob, cleaning up from sputtering gated fuzz to lighter dirt as you roll back. At just 0.5mA minimum current draw on 9V DC, it's one of the most battery-efficient fuzz pedals available.
Designed as an entry point into Catalinbread's lineup with simplified controls and a lower price point, but the oscillation capabilities and bias control give it a personality that many more expensive fuzzes lack.
