Catalinbread's SFT started as a quest for the best bass overdrive ever, then they realized it sounded amazing with guitar too. It captures the Ampeg SVT character that defined both Rolling Stones-era rock and modern stoner/doom.

The Stones/Stoner switch provides two distinct voicings: Stones delivers smooth, warm, touch-sensitive 60s overdrive, while Stoner ranges from warm distortion to juicy fuzz for drop-tuned heaviness. Baxandall EQ provides powerful tone shaping.

Powering at 9V yields smoother compression; 18V provides more headroom and percussive attack. The SFT works brilliantly for both guitar and bass, maintaining low-end clarity essential for bass while providing rich overdrive.
