Expression Roller

Classic Audio Effects was known for their innovative roller-based pedal designs that replaced traditional rocker mechanisms with a rotating barrel system. Their unique approach to expression control earned a devoted following before the company ceased operations.

The Expression Roller uses a roller system rather than a pivot treadle for expression control. The kevlar drive belt eliminates the broken string issues common with string-driven expression pedals, while the sealed bearing system ensures consistent, smooth operation.

The roller provides 270 degrees of rotation with approximately two rotations from heel to toe covering the full range. A positional LED brightens and dims to indicate current position. The compact design is significantly more space-efficient than traditional rocker expression pedals.

Chase Bliss Audio later revived and refined Classic Audio's smart expression roller design, recognizing the innovation and utility of the original concept.
