Foothills
Active volume roller with buffer and 3 selectable sweep modes for tonal shaping.
Classic Audio Effects was known for their innovative roller-based pedal designs that replaced traditional rocker mechanisms with a rotating barrel system. Their unique approach to expression control earned a devoted following before the company ceased operations.
The Foothills Active Volume Roller features an active buffer at the start of the circuit, addressing the tone-suck issues that can affect passive volume pedals. Three sweep modes selected by rear toggle switch offer Flat, Normal, and Scoop curves for different tonal responses.
The roller mechanism uses Classic Audio's reinforced kevlar drive belt and sealed bearing system for smooth, reliable operation. The 270-degree rotation and positional LED provide precise control with visual feedback.
The active buffer also enables the Foothills to drive longer cable runs without high-frequency loss, making it ideal for complex pedalboard setups where signal integrity is critical.
